Monday so far

I went to bed around 1:30 a.m.  I didn't really sleep much.  I kind of dozed, but I'd had toasted rice green tea mid-afternoon, and I think that's what kept me up.  I got up a little before 7:00 a.m., when it was still dark.  I thought about going back to sleep, but I'm still up at the moment.

I tried the rose petal jam on a piece of wheat bread and on a graham cracker.  A little rose petal jam goes a long way.

I listened to this Monday's Big Gay Fiction Podcast, which included the second half of the interview with Rhys Ford.  She didn't have specific recipes for anything except fried rice.  It was fun to hear about the different book series.

It's super-cold again today.  I don't have plans to go out.  Last night I did a lot of rearranging of my e-books.  I may do more of that today.  I tried on my new clothes from Walmart.  The long johns are a definite yes, in this weather.

I finished up laundry.

Later: I texted with J. and A.  I spoke to Aunt P.T.  I left a message for P.  She'd called me yesterday to say Happy New Year.  I told her to tell Z. that my knee was better.  Z. had been concerned.  In the message, I said my knee was wonky on and off, but I had my cane.
I made arrangements with A.J.'s sister B. to take a trip to a Crabtree & Evelyn outlet next week.  Hopefully it will be warmer then.

Jordan L. Hawk had her podcast of the "Story Behind the Story" of "Undertow,"  She talked about the culture clash between human and ketoi courting customs, which I had noted in a comment a few weeks ago.  It was interesting to see some of the secondary characters in the Whyborne and Griffin series be the protagonists in this novella.

I figured a lot of stores and other places would be closed, so I didn't go anywhere.  I have places to be the rest of the week.
